Following her appearance in a single episode of the popular American TV police procedural series Cold Case Miami & NY, she caught people's attention. After that, she appeared on the single episodes of a variety of popular TV series such as The Shield NCIS and Lost. She had a major part in the web-based series H+ The Digital Series. The most memorable Hollywood films include the cult blockbuster action movie Snitch with Dwayne Johnson and the comedy The Hangover Part III, which features Bradley Cooper. Lela was an established veteran in the entertainment industry in the year she won the main part for the role of Power, Angela Valdes. This show helped propel her to the forefront and saw her come under the spotlight.
